The Mahrt Brothers to the Rescue!

Recently, on a Friday, we found out that the delivery truck carrying our newly hatched chicks was going to arrive at 9 pm instead of 9 am because of weather delays. It wasn't exactly what we had planned to do with our Friday night but after work, we all went home, ate dinner with our families, and then hopped back in our trucks to head back to the farm to help unload the chicks that night.

Luckily, the hen houses were all prepared with food, water, and heaters so they were nice and warm after the chicks’ long journey to our farm. After about two hours, all the chicks were tucked in for the night and we headed home.

These chicks will be fully grown and laying eggs in only 5 months!
