Not All Eggs are Equal in Nutrition!

There’s no secret as to why The Daily Egg is so special – it has extra nutrition you won’t find in any other egg!

White chicken

After three years of research, we crafted a special natural diet for our hens that includes grains, algae, vitamins and minerals, which results in eggs full of essential vitamins and minerals at levels you won’t find in any other egg.

We identified nutritional deficiencies in the average person’s diet and formulated our feed to target some of those key areas. For example, most people are deficient in Omega-3 DHA, which is particularly good for pregnant and breastfeeding women since it’s essential for brain development. It has also been known to positively affect heart, brain, joint, and skin health. The Daily Egg also has many other nutritional benefits, which you can see in the chart below.

The best part about getting your nutrition from The Daily Egg is that it’s more bioavailable than many other food sources, including multivitamins. Bioavailable refers to how much of the nutritional benefit from a source your body can absorb. Multivitamins flood your body with nutrients, but your body can only absorb a tiny amount of those nutrients at once, flushing away anything it can’t use. In contrast, eggs are a complex food that break down slowly over time, giving your body the time it needs to absorb much more of the nutritional value in an egg.

You can visit The Daily Egg webpage for additional information on the benefits of these vitamins and minerals.

How do we do it?

All of our grains, algae, vitamins and minerals are all natural, and we use NO ANTIBIOTICS. We hand mix in the special selection of vitamins and minerals, ensuring that each hen receives a consistently nutritious diet. There’s no funny business here, just lots of time spent figuring out the perfect diet!

Beautiful view of Petaluma Egg Farm.

Best of all, it’s local!

With mild days and cool evenings, Petaluma is a great place for chickens, which is why all of the eggs for The Daily Egg are produced in Petaluma by my family. We’re really proud of what we’ve accomplished with The Daily Egg because there’s no other egg quite like it. We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we do!
